Women just dont understand the attachment!

Us guys, well, we have this attachment. An attachment that when separated, we go kicking and screaming. This is our attachment to our sports teams. We think of this attachment as more of a marriage. I have to say I am one of those guys. I love five things in this world my girlfriend, Oregon Ducks Athletics, Seahawks football, Mariners Baseball, and Kelso Hilander Football. I am currently married to 4 of the five. Guess which ones. Unfortunately my girlfriend just doesn't understand, or any girl for that matter, the attachment I have to these programs and ball clubs. Other than her, it is my life. I live and die with these teams. When she tells me "I'm sorry they lost" or "I know what they mean to you and I feel bad for you" I know she is thinking two things. 1. "So he is down I will be sweet and we will get to cuddle all night" or 2. " Suck it up you girl it is just a game" Now I know when she reads this she is gonna be pissed but its true. They just dont understand how near and dear to our heart these teams are. Now sweetie i know you love me and I love you to but you never Genuinely mean any bad feelings you have when MY teams lose. It is ok but until you and all other women understand how we feel when our teams lose you will never actually know how I feel. Nothing against you but these marriages we have are closer to us than you may think.

Ode to the football underdog

The junderdog in football. Oh how you have no chance. But you dont believe that for a second. You practice all week with a mentality of no one beats us. All week they tell you you stink and you should just pack it in now before you get slaughtered. But you say NO! you refuse to lose. You take all that negative critcizm like the men that you are. You take it and use it as fuel on your competitive fire, it gives you strength and energy. You dont take no for an answer. You prepare like no one has prepared before. you practice till you nearly drop dead. but you get up and practice harder the next day. You come out on gameday with everyone saying no they cant. You say wait and see. Then for 60 minutes everyone sees your heart and soul put into an upset. at half people start double checking what they see but you know. As time ticks down the emotions of Shock, euphoria, dismay, and every other emotion flood around you but you stand alone saying we knew it all along. So I tip my hat to you, the underdog, for showing all humans, that hard work heart and determination is not shown on paper.
